Dr. Barbara Rinkoff graduated in 1987 from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. After a few years of practicing and teaching in Portland, Dr. Rinkoff relocated to San Francisco and began her practice at Chiromedica. She has had a thriving practice here for the past 25 years. She has developed expertise in multiple areas of chiropractic, having completed hundreds of hours of post graduate education classes in nutrition, rehabilitation, wellness, chiropractic technique, core strengthening, exercise programs for back injuries and stretching protocols.
When Dr. Rinkoff is not at work, she is spending time with her friends and family, hiking, biking and loving nature. She is also a master miniaturist, building mini houses, stores, and even a mini chiropractic office. Her passion for chiropractic and her patients carries over into her hobbies. Being passionate about work and play alike is a life balance that is very important to Dr. Rinkoff, and one that she will help you to achieve.
How I Work
My Approach to Chiropractic: A Personal Partnership
It’s important to me to make personal connections with each of my patients. By getting to know each patient individually, I am able to personalize a treatment plan that meets the needs of each individual. The patient becomes the center of care, not the disease or the symptoms. Though the chiropractic adjustment is a central part of what I do, I am more than a technician. I am also a resource and support person; a true partner in your journey to optimum health.
I’ve been in San Francisco a long time, and I am well connected to a network of other alternative and mainstream health care providers. If needed, I can help you find an acupuncturist, nutritionist, orthopedist, physical therapist, craniosacral therapist, or a yoga or Pilates class to help in your overall wellness.
